Named products that are better to exclude from the diet in case of arthritis

Arthritis is chronic inflammation of the joints. Researchers are finding more and more evidence that certain foods help reduce or worsen the symptoms of this disease. If you're concerned about arthritis or the potential risks, experts advise avoiding several types of foods.
217 people with rheumatoid arthritis participated in a study published in the National Library of Health. Their diet consisted of 20 products, during the consumption of which the participants monitored their state of health and the manifestation of arthritis symptoms. 24% of participants reported that the food affected their condition, while 15% reported improvement and 19% reported deterioration.
Scientists concluded that blueberries and spinach most often improved the condition of study participants, in while sugary sodas and desserts made things worse. “Although we cannot draw firm conclusions based on this study, past experiments have shown that higher consumption of sugary drinks is associated with an increased risk of developing arthritis,” the experts say.
In their opinion, sugar affects gastrointestinal tract, the balance of beneficial and harmful bacteria in the digestive tract, the state of which in patients with arthritis is often out of order. “The more unstable the gut bacteria, the higher the likelihood of inflammation, which can worsen arthritis symptoms,” said nutritionist Melissa Ann Pest.
