Named symptoms of blood vessels clogged with plaques

Plaques (atheroma) that accumulate in blood vessels, which worsens the state of their walls, as well as the conductivity of blood, contribute to the development of atherosclerosis and other dangerous pathologies.

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of mortality worldwide, and they should be treated as early as possible. One of the main cardiopathologies – ischemic heart disease – occurs in connection with the appearance and multiplication of atheromas in blood vessels and arteries, plaques formed from excess cholesterol, calcium, and other substances.

Some symptoms may indicate that blood vessels are clogged with plaques, reports a number of publications.

In particular, chest pain and confused breathing should not be ignored – these symptoms occur due to the deterioration of blood supply to the heart and lungs, weakening of their function.

“With chest pain, discomfort can also appear in the area of the jaw, neck, shoulders, or hands,” the doctors note.

Constant fatigue, bouts of dizziness are another signal of a problem. If the blood vessels that feed the heart are clogged with plaque, it receives less blood and less nutrients. As a result of a lack of nutrition, the heart muscle begins to cope worse with pumping blood and oxygen around the body. A lack of oxygen affects the feeling of overtiredness.

In addition, plaque-clogged blood vessels indicate arrhythmia – an irregular heartbeat. A person may feel that the heart beats more often or, on the contrary, more slowly, or suddenly begins to beat in a state of rest.
