Named the cheese that is best for the cardiovascular system

The study showed , that mold cheeses are beneficial in reducing the likelihood of cardiovascular disease (CVD). This is a group of diseases affecting the heart and blood vessels. These include coronary, cerebrovascular and rheumatic diseases, congenital heart defects, thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. The main active risk factors are lack of physical activity, smoking, harmful alcohol consumption and unhealthy diet.

High blood pressure, high blood glucose, high blood lipids, overweight and obesity are all warning signs that can signal cardiovascular disease.

According to the Harvard School of Public Health, the best diet for preventing heart disease is a diet high in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, fish, poultry, and vegetable oils. They also recommend reducing consumption of red and processed meat, refined carbohydrates, foods and beverages with added sugar, alcohol, sodium, and trans fats.

However, it is a common misconception that people who suffer from cardiovascular disease or are in the risk group, should completely give up fatty foods.

People with cardiovascular diseases do not need to exclude cheese from their diet, but just moderately consume cheeses with a high fat content.

Cheese with mold, in particular, has a number of health benefits associated with the vitamins and minerals contained in it. Mold cheese, because of the distinct streaks of mold that run through it and the bacterial cultures it contains, can be really good for your diet.

Roquefort, for example, is considered the best cheese for heart health.
