Named the perfect vegetable for protection against deadly heart disorders

It is possible to improve protection against the development of fatal heart disorders, including myocardial infarction, if you eat asparagus regularly.

One of the most dangerous heart disorders, that increase the risk of death are heart attacks. The development of these pathologies is provoked by disruptions in the normal blood flow to the myocardium: the lack of blood experienced by the heart can cause serious damage, often fatal for a person. Their occurrence is facilitated by ischemic disease, which is characterized by the accumulation of fatty deposits in the arteries: they limit the amount of blood that must reach the heart.

Experts have named the ideal vegetable for protection against such disorders.

“Regular consumption of asparagus can be the key to protection against a fatal condition”.

Scientists explain the benefits of the vegetable by its saturation with folic acid (asparagus surpasses all other vegetables in terms of its content). This compound prevents the build-up of an amino acid known as homocysteine in the body. It has been established that people with high levels of homocysteine are at a higher risk of developing certain fatal conditions, including heart attacks and strokes.

Another advantage of asparagus is its fiber content, which effectively fights cholesterol deposits in blood vessels and thereby reducing the risks of high blood pressure and ischemia.

“Asparagus contains many useful substances. In addition to folic acid and fiber, it is packed with vitamins A, B, C, T, K, copper, manganese, magnesium, carotene, thiamin. Thanks to this composition, the vegetable regulates blood coagulation, prevents the formation of blood clots. Asparagus also contains asparagine – this substance lowers blood pressure and strengthens the heart,” doctors said.
