Some people have a habit of drinking several cups of coffee a day . As a result, there are side effects that may indicate that a person has exceeded the permissible amount of caffeine. According to experts at the Mayo Clinic, its norm is approximately 400 mg per day. However, with regular consumption of caffeine, the body becomes dependent on it.
As the doctors explained, caffeine narrows the blood vessels surrounding the brain, and when a person suddenly stops using it, the vessels expand. This causes increased blood flow and puts pressure on surrounding nerves.
The result is a caffeine withdrawal headache. It can last up to several weeks, because the body needs time to get used to the new state. Another side effect is rapid heartbeat.
In addition to coffee, tachycardia can also be caused by smoking and sudden stress. It is characterized by a high frequency of heartbeats – up to 100 times per minute, low blood pressure and fever!
Essential tremor syndrome can also occur with excessive coffee consumption. This neurological disorder is characterized by tremors. As a rule, hands begin to tremble when performing simple actions, for example, when a person holds a glass or ties shoelaces. Experts recommend giving up caffeine if sleep problems are observed. In addition, the consumption of coffee is directly related to the emergence of feelings of nervousness and anxiety.
