Named types of tea that are harmful to health

Tea has many health benefits, but it does not mean that you can drink it without thinking. Depending on the way it is processed, the current state of health and the frequency of consumption of certain types of drink, it is possible to cause serious harm to the body.
The most health problems can be caused by several types of tea.
Comfrey tea
This is a popular tea that is believed to have healing properties. However, the drink contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which can cause serious liver damage, said nutritionist Khiba Batul. According to the study, “the consumption of comfrey leaf herbal tea may not be advisable” due to its toxic effect on the liver.
Mint tea
Regular consuming peppermint tea can have long-term health effects. “Too much [of this tea] can cause irritation and have a poisonous effect on the body. All because the active ingredient in mint, menthol, affects (and destroys) our biological heating and cooling systems,” explained nutrition expert Celine Beitchman.
Tea with lemon
According to experts, tea with lemon has a higher level of lead compared to other types of drink. In addition, it is characterized by high levels of fluoride and acidity, which can lead to tooth decay and mouth ulcers.
Licorice tea
Also known as tea with Licorice can raise blood pressure. Doctors recommend that people who take antihypertensive drugs should refrain from drinking such a drink. However, even if you do not have problems with blood pressure, it is better to limit the use of licorice tea so as not to cause its persistent increase.
