To prevent luggage from getting lost, make your suitcase bright and easily recognizable.

The Sun writes about this.

< p>According to experienced airport employees, problems with losing and finding luggage can often be avoided if your suitcase is the “right” color. Most airport thieves won't even think of stealing your suitcase if it's brightly colored or has some unique design. Such luggage attracts unnecessary attention to criminals, so they will more likely choose one of dozens of faceless dark suitcases that are almost impossible to distinguish from each other on the baggage claim belt.

According to the airport staff, it is better for travelers not to use black suitcases at all, because they are difficult to distinguish from one another, and it often takes a lot of time to find your luggage.

Therefore, never buy suitcases of these colors:

  • black;
  • gray;
  • blue;
  • dark brown.

If if you have already bought such a suitcase, don't be in a hurry to get upset – the situation can be fixed.

“Make it easier for you to see your luggage on the check-in belt, especially if your suitcase is black, navy blue or gray, like 99.9% of passengers have,” advised Stefan Schulte, head of Frankfurt Airport.

Make your suitcase recognizable with your own hands. For this, you can use:

  • bright stickers;
  • a cover for a suitcase with an unusual print;
  • multi-colored luggage tags or ribbons on a handle.

You can even give free rein to your imagination and paint your suitcase – the more unique and brighter, the better.

In addition, when buying a suitcase, you should also pay attention to the strength of the material, with which it is made to avoid unpleasant situations and not spoil the impression of the trip.
