Never say “What time is it?”: how to correctly specify the time in Ukrainian
0
There is one rule that needs to be remembered.
It should be remembered that in the Ukrainian language, if we want to clarify the time, we need to ask so: “What time/at what time?”.
It is also important to emphasize the second syllable of the word “which”. This is also a common mistake. Many people say “what time”.
At the same time, incorrect, but very common variants of this question are: “how many hours/at what time?”.
It is worth adding that asking “What hour?” it is also possible, but not in the context of time, but characteristics, descriptions of the period. For example: “evil time”.
