The use of these drugs increases the likelihood of developing behavioral problems, including the future. Researchers from Bristol University came to this conclusion.

A new study has shown that taking paracetamol during pregnancy increases the risk of developing serious behavioral problems in future children. Scientists have found a connection between the use of expectant mothers of popular painkillers and hyperactivity, as well as various emotional disorders in their children. It should be noted that paracetamol is considered to be the most common anesthetic in the world, and only it is called safe for admission during pregnancy. But there are more and more studies that suggest that these drugs damage children in the womb. Scientists associate paracetamol with the danger of the development of asthma, infertility and autism in future children. Using questionnaires and information from schools, researchers appreciated the memory of children, their intellectual level, temperament and behavior. The information obtained was compared with the data on how often their moms were taken by paracetamol during pregnancy. Scientists were particularly interested in the term from the 18th to the 32nd week of pregnancy. This effect was more pronounced in children of the age of three, but by the time of joining elementary school, it decreased somewhat. The boys were more vulnerable to paracetamol during pregnancy than girls. That is why researchers urge pregnant women to take the highest possible doses of this drug and only in case of urgent need.
