Experts warn that too loud noises in the intestines can reflect diseases, which secretly develops in the body.
In most cases, the sounds produced by the intestines are harmless and indicate a working digestion. According to doctors, noises in the intestines are a sign that the organ is active. Its sounds are caused by the so-called peristalsis, the wave-like movement of muscles that move food from the stomach first to the small, then to the large intestine, and finally to the anus.
At the same time, scientists talk about such a phenomenon like hyperperistalsis, which means too active noise production in the intestinal tract. According to the German Cancer Research Center, such sounds can sometimes indicate a mechanical obstruction that prevents the stool from passing properly through the intestines. In this case, it is necessary to consult a doctor and be examined.
“Changes in bowel sounds, in which there is also a change in the usual work of the organ, blood in the stool or abdominal pain, may indicate the development of colorectal cancer.” – said the experts of the Center.
If the symptoms named by them persist for a long time or are repeated, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
