If you exclude products with added sugar from your diet, your health will only benefit, says the dietitian.
The dietitian told in an interview when giving up sweets is extremely beneficial. The dietitian noted that the body benefits from deciding to stop consuming products containing added sugar: candies, cookies and other types of pastries, sweet yogurts, etc.
The doctor explained that such products provide the body with carbohydrates. Giving them up will not deprive the body of carbohydrates, since their suppliers are other products, in particular, much healthier ones.
“If we simply give up desserts, sweets, cakes, and don’t put sugar in coffee, nothing will happen, because we will get the same carbohydrates from bread, cereals, vegetables, and fruits,” said the nutritionist.
According to the specialist, in the diet, one should strive for a moderate overall consumption of carbohydrates in the form of various types of sugar, including natural ones present in the same vegetables. Potatoes, pumpkin, beets – all of these contain carbohydrates, the excess of which suppresses the work of the pancreas, liver, blood vessels, and brain.
