Nutritionist reveals the dangers of skipping lunch and dinner

Any diet is stress for the body. Only special medical types of nutrition that are prescribed for various diseases, for example, gastritis or kidney diseases, can be attributed to healthy diets. All other diets aimed at getting rid of extra pounds may be effective, but they put an additional burden on the body.

For example, refusing to eat during the day or evening may not normalize weight, but, on the contrary, increase the gain of new pounds.

Dietitian Irina Mansurova explained that you cannot give up lunches and dinners, even if the morning meal was dense. And then the body will not receive nutrients, and hunger will become a strong stress for it. This can provoke apathy, depressive states and weakness.

In the first few days of such a diet, extra pounds will really start to go away. However, as soon as lunches and dinners appear in the diet again, the previous weight will return and, perhaps, even extra kilograms will appear.

Such experiments, according to the nutritionist, threaten the development of gastritis, hormonal disruption or exacerbation of an existing chronic disease.

The doctor advised dividing the meal into 3 meals and having a fasting day once a week. Such a scheme will be not only more effective, but also safer.
