Nutritionists named the two best fruits for lowering the level of “bad” cholesterol

However, apples do this best. This fruit is rich in the largest amount of fiber, including a special “soluble” type known as pectin. According to the Mayo Clinic experts, soluble fiber helps to reduce the level of LDL.
This happens due to a reduction in the amount of cholesterol absorbed into the blood. A study published in the European Journal of Nutrition also confirms that the pectin present in apples is one of the best for lowering cholesterol among fruit sources.
