Omega-3 has been linked to premature death

A new study showed that people with a high index omega-3 is less likely to die prematurely.
The study said that people with higher levels of the omega-3 index in their blood lived longer than those with lower levels. In other words, those people who died with relatively low levels of omega-3s died prematurely, that is, other things being equal, they could have lived longer if their levels were higher.
Scientists in many countries have studied the 'the relationship between omega-3 levels and diseases affecting the heart, brain, eyes and joints, but only a few studies have focused on the effect on life expectancy.
In Japan, the consumption of foods containing omega – 3 is higher than in most other countries in the world, so the Japanese live longer than other peoples. The authors of the article note that these data indicate that omega-3 fatty acids can have a beneficial effect on the general state of health and, thus, slow down the aging process.
