In an interview with cardiologist Shaista Malik, ways that help avoid heart problems were named and improve the condition of the most important body organ. Speaking about why heart disease prevention is so important, the doctor noted, “nearly 50 percent of people die suddenly from a heart attack without any previous symptoms.”
One of the easiest ways to improve heart health, said a cardiologist, is sleep. Dr. Malik recommends practicing sleep hygiene for this purpose. The expert explained: going to bed and waking up should happen at the same time, the bedroom should be dark and quiet.
“According to research data, people who do not sleep regularly are prone to the risk of developing obesity, cardiovascular vascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes and depression. The best prevention of these diseases is sleep,” said Dr. Malik.
Another effective and affordable way to protect yourself from heart problems is to reduce stress – this can be achieved through sports and hiking in nature.
