Who needs to include cucumbers in their diet?
Almost everyone – its composition is quite balanced and contains the fiber necessary for the body. But the vegetable will be especially useful…
- People with thyroid diseases – due to the iodine content;
- People with a tendency to edema – the fruits have a diuretic effect;
- Heart patients – due to the presence of potassium;
- Sufferers of atherosclerosis: fiber regulates cholesterol levels;
- People with obesity – 100 g of cucumber contains only 15 kcal, and nutritionists note that cucumbers contribute to better protein absorption.
Are pickled and salted cucumbers useful?
If you eat them in moderation, absolutely. However, such a product contains too much salt, spices, acids – they are undesirable for people with a sick intestine. It is impossible to find out the exact name of the spices and their quantity in the “store” product: according to technical regulations, the manufacturer is only required to indicate the presence of mustard.
