Pancakes made of whole wheat flour with apples in a hurry

Brown pancakes with apples made from whole wheat flour have rich taste and a beautiful yellowish shade. The so-called one-time grinding helps preserve the most useful properties of grain, which are so valued by followers of healthy eating.

Baking soda, quenched with kefir, gives them lightness and prevents them from becoming stale, and egg yolks ensure the plasticity of the finished dough. If desired, you can add vanilla or cinnamon to it.

So that the fruits fit harmoniously into the structure of the fritters, it is better to cut them into thin slices.

Ingredients:

  • kefir 260 ml
  • whole grain flour 100 g
  • wheat flour 100 g
  • salt 1 tsp
  • sugar 2-3 tbsp . l.
  • soda 1 tsp.
  • 3-4 apples
  • oil or better ghee for frying

Preparation:

1. Pour kefir into a deep bowl. Pour soda and mix. Leave for 5-8 minutes. During this time, soda will react with kefir and many small bubbles will appear on the surface. Even expired kefir is suitable for making fritters, the more sour the product, the richer the finished fritters will be.

Important! Kefir and eggs must be at room temperature

2. Add the eggs. Mix with a whisk until a homogeneous mixture.

3. Add salt, sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the amount of sugar to your taste, depending on how sweet you want the finished fritters to be. Stir to dissolve the ingredients.

4. Pour two types of sifted flour. Mix everything until smooth.

5. Add thinly sliced apples to the dough and mix.

6. Put small portions of dough on a heated and oiled pan. Fry over low heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
