Part of the destroyed stands from the Kharkiv stadium was shown in Germany on the occasion of Euro-2024

An unusual installation dedicated to Euro-2024 has appeared in the center of Munich, Germany. Part of the destroyed grandstands of Kharkiv's “Sonyachny” stadium was installed there.

In 2022, during one of the Russian missile attacks, the sports arena was destroyed by the aggressor. This is reported by FREEDOM with reference to AP.

As noted by the president of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Shevchenko, this installation is designed to draw the attention of the international community to Russia's war crimes.

“This is a very significant topic for me, as well as for all Ukrainian teams. After all, this is a piece of the “Sonyachny” stadium. During the preparation for the 2012 European Championship, the Ukrainian national team trained here. And this stadium was completely destroyed by Russian missiles,” said Andriy Shevchenko.

We would like to add that on June 17, the Ukrainian national team started for Euro-2024. The match against Romania at the Allianz Arena in Munich ended with a 0:3 defeat for Serhiy Rebrov's team. At the same time, the chances of reaching the playoffs are not lost, because Ukraine still has at least two more matches ahead of it – against Slovakia and Belgium.
