Plant foods may contain more protein than eggs

Few people know: some plant products can compete with animal products in terms of protein and essential amino acids. As research has shown, plant-based foods contain high-quality protein that the body can easily convert into endogenous protein, which is useful for building muscle mass. At the same time, they are rich in secondary plant substances and fiber, which preserve the feeling of satiety for a long time, protect against overeating and obesity.

Spirulina. If we consider that one average egg contains about 11 grams protein, then 100 grams of spirulina is almost five times more. The plant, more precisely blue-green algae, is more than half protein and has such a high nutritional value that it has long been grown and sold as a superfood.

Wheat sprouts. They contain about 28 g of protein per 100 g of weight, as well as more than 70 important nutrients and fiber, distinguished by a large amount of folic acid. Their other ingredient, vitamin E, which is also abundant, provides good skin, helps prevent dementia.

Lentils. A 100-gram serving provides 23g of protein, which is better absorbed than from peas or beans. In addition, it contains a lot of zinc, which supports metabolism and the immune system.
