Very tasty, juicy, aromatic and useful! Boiled mackerel is a recipe that will teach you how to quickly and deliciously prepare a delicious fish dish in just 10 minutes. Such fish is perfect for salads, snacks, it can also be served on its own, with or without a side dish.
Ingredients:
- Mackerel – 1 pc.
- Lemons – 0.5 pcs.
- Bay leaf – 3 pcs.
- Dill
- Salt 1 table. l.
Step-by-step preparation:
If the mackerel was frozen, thaw it in advance. Then clean it and rub it, especially carefully remove the black film inside the abdomen, it is bitter. Wash the fish well and dry it with paper towels.
Pour 1.5 liters of water into a saucepan, add salt and a bay leaf. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and throw this squeezed half into the water as well. Wash, dry and finely chop the dill. Also, throw it in a pan (you can freeze it). And in general, take the greens to your taste. Put the pan on the fire and bring to a boil over high heat.
Meanwhile, cut the mackerel into portions. You can cook a whole carcass or large pieces, depending on what purpose you want to use it for.
When the contents of the pot boil, drop the pieces of mackerel into it. Wait for it to boil again, reduce the heat and boil the fish for 5-7 minutes. You don't need to cook longer – then the fish will remain juicy. If you have a whole carcass, increase the time to 10 minutes.
Place the mackerel on a plate and garnish with slices of lemon. Serve to the table with or without a side dish, as an independent dish. Cool the fish to prepare salads or snacks.
