
Reading books at an early age is associated with more successful learning and later life

The study showed that children whose parents read books to them at an early age study more successfully at school and also achieve greater success in later life than children who are not read to.
The connection between reading at an early age and the subsequent success of children was established by specialists from the University of Bamberg, the results of their study were published in the journal School Effectiveness and School Improvement.
Scientists have almost for ten years, they observed the lives of 200 children. Their observations showed that the positive correlation between reading books at an early age and successful learning is manifested approximately equally regardless of the wealth and social status of the family, as well as the gender of the children. The researchers stated that as a result of such reading, language skills are acquired, which also improve mathematical abilities in children.
In particular, the observed children underwent testing that revealed their language abilities, as well as the ability to cope with logical tasks, at the age of three to five. Later, the children underwent intellectual tests at the age of 12-13.
