There is a football player in the Olympic team of Ukraine who is capable of becoming a surprise of the 2024 Olympics. The publication 90min called his name and explained its choice.

The English publication 90min made a list of players who can surprise the audience at the Olympics-2024. And one representative of Ukraine got there.

We are talking about the striker of Shakhtar Danylo Sikan, who spent 80 minutes in the match of the first round of the group stage against Iraq (1:2) and was not distinguished by productive actions.

< p>Experts explained what they saw in the young forward of the Ukrainian national team.

“Most of the best young talents of Ukraine went to Euro-2024 at the beginning of the summer, but one of them remained – Danylo Sikan. In recent seasons, the young striker has been a regular goal scorer for Shakhtar.

At the group stage of the Champions League 2023/24, Sikan scored four times in six matches, including against Barcelona and Porto,” the publication noted.

We remind you that Sikan did not participate at the 2024 European Championship, not being on Serhiy Rebrov's list.
He has seven matches for the national team, in which he scored one goal.
At the club level, Danylo plays for Shakhtar, with whom he has a contract until 30 June 2028.
