A stroke occurs when blood flow to a person's brain is blocked. This stops the supply of oxygen to the brain tissues. It is possible to identify a stroke before the onset of an attack.
The earlier a person receives treatment for a stroke, the fewer the consequences will be. And the sooner you eliminate three foods from your diet, the lower the risk of stroke will be.
European scientists conducted a study that used data from 418,000 people. Participants answered questions about diet, lifestyle factors, receipt of medical care, and socio-demographic characteristics. The researchers followed the participants for an average of 12.7 years.
The study showed that with increased consumption of fruits and vegetables, dairy products, there was a lower risk of ischemic, but not hemorrhagic, stroke.
Diets high in saturated fat, trans fat, and salt were associated with an increased risk of stroke. Therefore, it is worth giving up products that contain them.
