It is accepted that the baby develops in a completely sterile environment and only after birth. But scientists have managed to prove that this is not the case. Many facts, including the lack of immunity in an unborn baby, say in favor of this. But, at the same time, in amniotic fluid and the first feces of newborns (meconium), bacterial DNA is detected. Scientists were inclined to the fact that these tests are false, and the DNA of bacteria can be in utensils, reagents and devices. Experts from the University of Edith Couen and the University of Western Australia have decided to find out how things are really going on. Scientists have checked 50 samples of amniotic fluid obtained during caesarean section and 50 samples of meconium. Bacterial DNA was found in almost all samples.

As scientists have noticed, in all the specimens of amniotic fluid there were bacteria Propionibacterium acnes and several species of Staphylococcus. In the samples of newborns, there was a greater variety of bacteria, every baby had a different result. According to scientists, this indicates that the presence of bacteria in amniotic fluid is a variant of the norm.
