Russia has equipped underground hospitals in the occupied territories of Ukraine: details

In a number of temporarily occupied cities of Ukraine, Russia has equipped underground military hospitals, the main task of which is to provide emergency assistance to wounded soldiers and stabilize their condition.

Then the “lucky ones” are sent to the rear for further treatment, and those who are unlucky are promptly returned to the front line, FREEDOM informs.

At least five underground hospitals operate in the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia. This became known when Russian officials began posting videos of visits to places where, as they say, Russian servicemen are “put on their feet underground”.

In one of the underground hospitals, the Russian occupiers planned to create no more than a polyclinic with the offices of a therapist and specialist doctors – an ophthalmologist, a dermatologist and a dentist.

In the process, it was decided to add emergency care and organize a surgical department.

“We employ specialists with the qualifications of vascular surgeons, trauma surgeons and maxillofacial surgeons – all specialists are needed at this stage,” says the Russian occupier.

The hospital occupies 500 square meters underground. The wounded are transported to the so-called “sorting room” on evacuation “loaves” and NIVAs.

“I can say that the facility turned out to be interesting and reliable. Everything is buried underground: entire catacombs with a total area of about 500 square meters turned out,” says Vitaly Budnikov, director of the Russian foundation “Leningradsky Rubizh.”

In the 150-square-meter room, there are rows of couches on which nurses transfer bloodied Russians and conduct initial examinations.

The Russian group of troops “Dnepr” in the Kherson direction also has an underground city. It has an operating room, and the total length of passages and trenches exceeds four kilometers, with communications laid more than four meters deep.

On the outskirts of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, there is another underground hospital, located at a depth of 80 meters under the Artwinery sparkling wine factory. According to some sources, the hospital is financed by the Akhmat Kadyrov public fund. The hospital can accommodate about 100 patients.

“You drive under the arch and going down There is a huge mine underground, so big that I only saw 10% of it. One corridor branches into several, like a labyrinth. Even KAMAZ trucks could easily pass there – the ceilings are so high and the corridors are so wide,” says a Russian soldier.

Such hospitals for the Russian occupiers perform the function of a first aid station. The wounded from all troops and units are taken there. After that, they are sent to a hospital in Russia or sent back to the front line.

Another hospital is hidden in the occupied territory of the Luhansk region. There are three dozen wooden dugouts under the village of Krasnorichenske. This hospital can receive up to 120 soldiers per day.

Near the city of Snizhne in Donetsk region, a hospital and a canteen, called an “anthill”, have been set up in dugouts. This aid station is intended only for fighters with relatively minor injuries – those who need painkillers, bandages and drips.

The occupiers complain of a lack of medicine, as Russia can no longer purchase essential drugs due to sanctions. The shortage of medical workers is also acutely felt: even for a higher salary, not every Russian doctor is ready to risk his life. 90% of the needs of the occupiers' hospitals are provided by volunteers, while the Russian government and the Ministry of Defense continue to talk about their successes in the war on federal channels.
