Scientists announce the beginning of a new era in cancer treatment

Scientists will begin using space technologies to treat cancer, which could open a “new era” in healthcare and save tens of thousands of lives.

This was announced at the beginning of the week by the UK Space Agency.

It is noted that a revolutionary artificial intelligence system was developed a decade ago to explore other planets in space, and now it is planned to be used in healthcare.

To do this, the technology will be improved using cloud data storage, high-speed satellite communication and special programs for information compression.

This will allow in the future to use artificial intelligence to detect bowel cancer in the early stages, to diagnose the body in real time.

As is known, bowel cancer is one of the most dangerous oncological diseases, and only timely detection helps to significantly increase the patient's chances of survival.

According to preliminary forecasts, by 2033 the new technology will save more than 20 thousand people.

A special grant in the amount of one million pounds (about 34.5 million hryvnias) will be allocated for the development of the project.
