Scientists state that consumption of ginger and garlic helps to suppress inflammation, the development of which in the body is one of the key factors of its aging.
Aging is characterized by the deterioration of the physiological functions of the human body and is associated with a predisposition to certain diseases: cardiovascular, neurological, cancer, diseases, metabolic disorders. Oxidative stress and inflammation contribute to the progression of aging. Meanwhile, the consumption of ginger and garlic helps resist these processes.
Garlic.The life-prolonging effect associated with garlic consumption is due to improved bowel function, according to results presented at the Yakult Research Conference on Aging in Tokyo. Scientists associate the benefits of the spicy vegetable for the intestines with the large amount of natural fibers contained in garlic that promote the development of “good” bacteria. These microorganisms fight against harmful intestinal bacteria that secrete toxins that can affect the occurrence of cancer, dementia, obesity, and mental illnesses.
Ginger.The U.S. National Library of Medicine has published data confirming ginger's ability to improve cardiovascular health: it lowers triglycerides and “bad” low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol.
