Scientists from China conducted a study, during which they studied how fatty food affects health. While working, they came to the conclusion that such food dramatically increases the risk of heart disease.
Scientists from Shenzhen conducted a collective analysis of data obtained by their colleagues at different times. They examined the results of research over the past few years, taking data from 17 scientific papers. In them, they looked for evidence indicating whether fatty and fried food affects people's well-being.
To get an answer, Chinese experts got acquainted with the data of more than 562 thousand people who took part in surveys in different periods. Of the respondents, more than 36,000 were found to have serious disorders in the cardiovascular system.
After studying the information, a connection between heart diseases and a diet that nutritionists do not call healthy was revealed.
The results of the study showed that people who ate a large amount of fatty food were 37% more likely to suffer from heart failure. In addition, 28% of respondents recorded an increased risk of developing various heart diseases. Another 22% were found to be prone to coronary heart disease.
In addition, experts deduced a linear relationship between the risk of cardiovascular diseases and the consumption of unhealthy foods rich in fats. Scientists have stated that each portion of 114 grams, eaten once a week, increases the likelihood of health problems.
