Scientists formulated seven simple rules for a long healthy life

Scientists state that following a number of rules can provide people with a long, healthy life by minimizing the risks of heart and vascular diseases, as well as negative age-related neurological disorders, including dementia.

Scientists believe that there are “simple rules of healthy living”. In particular, this statement was made by AHA (American Heart Association) staff.

They analyzed numerous recommendations related to maintaining health in the later years of life and prolonging life. As a result, scientists have formulated criteria against which they propose to check their lifestyle. The more points that match, the more chances that a person will live a long, healthy life.

So, according to experts, the seven simple rules for a long, healthy life are as follows.

  • Quit smoking .
  • Physical activity.
  • Healthy weight, its reduction during obesity.
  • Proper nutrition.
  • Stable blood sugar level, prevention its growth.
  • Cholesterol control.
  • Healthy blood pressure, prevention of hypertension.

Experts explained that if at least five points, “the risk of death from cardiovascular and neurological diseases becomes lower by 78 percent.”
