Scientists have announced the benefits of milk chocolate for breakfast

It is believed that milk chocolate is high-calorie a product that poses a danger to the figure. However, scientists have stated that this dessert is able to provoke the burning of fat in the body under certain conditions.
Researchers from the American Brigham Hospital together with Spanish scientists from the University of Murcia conducted an experiment with the participation of 19 postmenopausal women who consumed 100 g chocolate at different time periods: in the morning after waking up or at night before going to bed. More details about the research can be found in the article published on the clinic's website. After comparing the results of both groups, the experts were able to establish that:
- neither in the morning nor at night did chocolate cause weight gain;
- depending on the time of day, chocolate affects appetite, the composition of the microbiota and sleep;
- large portions of chocolate in the morning help burn fat;
- depending on the time of day, chocolate can change the metabolism for the next day.
“Our results prove that not only what we eat, but also when we eat, can influence the physiological mechanisms involved in body weight regulation,” the authors of the study noted. They added that different times of the day also affect cravings for sweets.
