Scientists from Australia with found out which blood pressure indicators increase the speed of brain aging.
It is known that increased pressure does not contribute to a healthy state of the body. However, the work of an Australian group of scientists proved that the group at risk of accelerated brain aging also includes people whose blood pressure is considered normal when young, but its indicators are at the upper limits of this norm.
That is why it is not uncommon for healthy people to , at first glance, the risk of developing dementia, strokes and problems with the cardiovascular system increases.
“The idea that the brain becomes unhealthy because of high blood pressure in later life is not entirely true . Everything starts earlier in those people whose blood pressure seems to be normal, but is at the upper limits,” says Professor Nikolay Cherbuin.
