Scientists have found out the optimal duration of training for a healthy heart

Researchers studied the connection between physical activity and cardiovascular diseases and found that the health of the heart directly depends on the amount and time of training. It was found that people who exercise frequently are much less likely to experience cardiovascular disease.
However, the experts found that when it comes to the type of physical activity, there was not much difference in benefits from a few minutes of running a day or a few hours of walking a week.
More than 90,000 people participated in the new study. They all wore trackers and had no history of heart problems. Participants were divided into four groups, each of which had to engage in a certain type of physical activity.
As a result, it was established that volunteers from the least active group were more than twice as likely to develop heart disease than sports participants. In the group where the physical activity was moderate, the risk of heart problems decreased by 30%.
As for the duration of the classes, the scientists did not find an upper limit. Participants who were most active (walked more than two hours a day – both physical exercise and daily activities, including grocery shopping or housework) and those who exercised vigorously 50 minutes or more per week showed approximately equal benefits.
