French scientists found out how brain health is affected by eating fish.
During the research, scientists analyzed the eating habits of more than 1,500 people. The age of the volunteers started at the mark of 65 years, and it is emphasized that they did not have problems with the heart, blood vessels, and signs of dementia before. After that, the participants of the experiment underwent an MRI brain scan.
As it turned out, in the group whose participants ate fish four or more times a week, the authors of the paper recorded the least number of signs of brain damage.
< p>“This study provides class II evidence that in individuals without stroke or dementia, higher fish consumption is associated with less frequent subclinical cardiovascular disease on MRI,” the study authors said.
