Australian scientists have named the harmful and beneficial effects of family life. According to experts, marriage contributes to the development of healthy habits, but in some cases, physical changes occur in spouses.
Researchers from the Central University of Queensland have concluded that marriage contributes to weight gain. Scientists spent nine years collecting the necessary information, analyzing it, and studied data on the health of 15,000 women and men. Individuals who lived alone or were married were taken into account. Spouses generally eat right, this is facilitated by home cooking, in this case they avoid fast food. Many have given up bad habits, including smoking and alcohol.
Scientists have also discovered a negative aspect of long-term family life, which is the gain of extra pounds due to regular consumption of home-cooked meals. In some cases, portions gradually increase, and parents sometimes have to finish eating for their children, which is another reason for gaining extra pounds.
