The influence of nutrition on the occurrence of cancer is more significant than previously assumed. This is evidenced by a study of more than 80,000 new episodes of oncology among people aged 20 and older.
Tens of thousands of diagnoses were made by oncologists in the United States four years ago, and all of them are related to poor nutrition. According to researchers at Tufts University, 80,000 cases of cancer associated with food are comparable to the number of oncology episodes caused by frequent alcohol consumption. Doctors found that most of the patients had a low intake of milk, fruits, vegetables and whole grains. At the same time, they consumed large amounts of soda and processed meat. Researchers noticed that in 38% of cases, colon and rectal cancer appeared in connection with an unhealthy diet.
