Scientists have named the most effective and easiest way to lower blood pressure, which is a full night's rest. During the experiment, people suffering from hypertension slept for 7-9 hours, as a result, they woke up in the morning in a cheerful state.
Specialists from the University of Arizona in the USA conducted a study that involved 300 volunteers, whose average age was 45 years. The volunteers wore compact devices that measured their blood pressure every 45 minutes. In the evening, before going to bed, participants in the scientific experiment wore special sensors that read the body's functioning parameters during different phases of sleep.
Patients who went to bed with high blood pressure woke up the next day well-rested. Scientists concluded that a full rest improves well-being and stabilizes blood pressure. It is recommended to go to bed no later than 11:00 p.m., the authors of the study state.
The importance of a night's sleep in almost complete darkness was also noted. It is necessary to close the windows and turn off gadgets. In the evening, soft diffused light is allowed in the bedroom, which contributes to the production of melatonin, which ensures full rest. Excessive lighting at night can provoke cardiovascular diseases.
