Scientists have named the main cause of obesity

The causes of obesity are still a subject of controversy. Scientists note that the simple advice – eat less and move more – does not work for everyone. Now researchers have discovered another factor.
Carbohydrates play an important role. “Processed, fast-digesting carbohydrates — such as those found in sweetened breakfast cereals, potato chips, and sugary drinks — spike insulin levels too much,” one expert noted.
This causes our fat cells to absorb and store too many calories. Within hours of eating a high-carb meal, the number of calories in our bloodstream drops sharply, making us hungry more quickly.
The expert also reported that replacing processed carbohydrates with high-fat foods like nuts, full-fat dairy, olive oil, avocados, and dark chocolate lowers insulin levels.
