Scientists have named the minimum number of exercises for muscle growth

Studies have shown that even one muscle contraction per day for five days a week can improve muscle strength within a month.
The scientists asked participants to perform an arm curl exercise consisting of 30 maximal contractions (i.e. contracting the muscle as hard as they could) every week for four weeks. One group performed six contractions daily for five days a week; the other did 30 repetitions each week.
The group that did all the exercises at once had no increase in muscle strength, while the group that did six repetitions over five days increased their muscle strength by more than 10%.
A separate study found that performing one three-second biceps contraction per day, five days a week, increased muscle strength by 12%.
