No one is immune from ear diseases. Scientists have told what symptoms can foreshadow hearing loss.

The publication provides the opinion of experts on ear diseases, as well as on the phenomena that can be observed before hearing loss. Before that, Polish actress Rula Lenska told her story, who began to suffer from hearing problems after scuba diving in the Caribbean.

“I was diving near a coral. Being a living organism, it can get into the ear and damage the cilia there – tiny hairs. This can cause hearing loss. Soon after my vacation, an infection appeared – which caused my ear to hurt painfully,” the actress said.

The doctors then prescribed Kermi strong antibiotics, but, as the actress admitted, her path to recovery “took forever.”
Commenting on the case of Rula Lenska, British doctors noted that an ear infection, which can lead to serious consequences such as hearing loss, can overtake any person.

“Hearing loss most often occurs with earwax, infection, a perforated eardrum or Meniere’s disease, which is a lesion of the inner ear. This disorder manifests itself in attacks of labyrinthine vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss,” the experts said.

According to them, a symptom such as difficulty understanding human speech in noisy places can be a harbinger of a problem. If this requires increased concentration to understand a person, you should be wary and consult a doctor.

If a person finds it difficult to tune in to a conversation in a large room with background noise and music, this is also a worrying sign, the experts said.
