Scientists from the University of Toronto conducted a study during which they presented a set of tips to help people with migraine lead a normal and happy life.
Scientists have spent 10 long years studying the lives of people who suffer from migraines. Specialists tracked the effects of the disease on mental health, including depression and other anxiety disorders.
In total, the authors of the study analyzed the condition of 2,186 people living in Canada. It turned out that in order to maintain mental health, such patients need to feel a sense of satisfaction and happiness almost every day. At the same time, social and psychological well-being and the absence of stressful situations are also important.
It turned out that if there is at least one person in the environment of a migraine sufferer who can be trusted, the chances of a healthy life increased 4 times. At the same time, if people turned to religious and spiritual practices, this indicator increased by 86%.
Scientists noted that the physical health of migraine patients affects mental balance. This and other factors were recommended by the authors of the work to be taken into account by doctors.
