Scientists have refuted the myth about the ability of tea to neutralize the harm of cigarettes and alcohol
1 < p>Tea, contrary to popular opinion, cannot compensate for the harm caused to the body by alcohol and cigarettes. This was the conclusion reached by Chinese scientists from the Beijing Institute of Health after conducting a relevant study.
500,000 people took part in the study. Scientists monitored the health of volunteers for 10 years. As it turned out, people who smoke and drink alcohol have a 35% higher risk of developing various serious diseases than those who do not have these harmful habits. When tea is included in the diet, this indicator does not decrease.
Moreover, this drink only increases the damage caused by alcohol to the body. The fact is that alcohol makes the organs of the gastrointestinal tract insensitive to high temperatures.
As a result, when drinking hot tea, you can get a burn of the mucous membranes. Also, when this drink gets into the body, it stimulates the digestive system, which is why the absorption of alcohol is accelerated.
