Having hair is practical an inevitable process, some people do not try to fight it, while others accept the loss of melanin with anxiety and look for ways to fight this problem. American scientists managed to find out how stress affects the appearance of gray hair.
Gray hair appears in everyone according to an individual schedule depending on the inherited predisposition. Visible gray hair is considered early until the age of 25-30, when by the age of forty most of the hair is already discolored, and the appearance of such curls after the age of 35 is generally a variant of the norm.
The presence of gray hair is also associated with nervous stress and negative stress factors, and although frequent releases of adrenaline have a detrimental effect on melanocytes, the study does not confirm the ability to turn gray immediately from the experience. Some participants experienced serious shocks during the observation process. Immediately after the traumatic event, they had no gray hair.
Decreased melanocyte activity can occur as a complication of anemia, hyperthyroidism, depression, and diabetes. Sitting is also caused by a deficiency of B vitamins. The appearance of gray hair at a young age may indicate Werner's disease, that is, premature aging.
Gray hair in a child is a cause for concern. They may indicate Graves' disease, which is the body's production of autoantibodies against TSH receptors in the thyroid gland. As a result, overproduction of thyroid hormones occurs.
