Scientists have said that there are more bacteria on a computer mouse than on a toilet seat

For those looking for even more excuses not to return to the office, researchers have identified workplace hotspots for bacteria and other “pollutants.” The computer mouse collects the most bacteria in the office – it has more “colony-forming units” than a toilet seat.
The team at a Chicopee cleaning supplies supplier tested office “touch points” with bacteria and mold, commonly known as called colony-forming units.
The computer mouse turned out to be the worst offender, with 11 times more colony-forming units than a toilet seat.
Outside the desktop, the most germs were found on kitchens: the kettle and the fridge were “high”.
Bottles with disinfectant were also found to contain large amounts of mold spores.
