Scientists have told what meat can be replaced in the future
In the opinion of many scientists, cattle breeding does not fit well into the concept of sustainable development of Western countries. But not everyone is ready to give up meat. This is mainly due to the special taste of the product, which is caused by the monosodium glutamate contained in it.
A study by Danish scientists claims that in the future meat dishes will be replaced by seafood – shellfish and algae, which are more safe for the environment. Specialists studied consumer behavior and found a way to influence the choice of products by Europeans. According to experts, there are quite a large number of alternative sources of protein that are still not fully used.
Also, researchers note that seaweed, squid and small fish contain many vitamins, useful substances and have an excellent taste. Food production technologies, which have long used the two main flavors in food flavorings – sweet and meaty – will help make them more attractive to consumers.
