Any physical activity has a positive effect on the body. But if your goal is to reduce fat mass, build muscle and improve endurance, there is the most suitable option – strength training.
A new study has shown that people who do strength training several times a week, have a 20 to 30 percent lower risk of obesity later in life.
The study notes that the association between strength training and obesity was similar in different subgroups that were divided by gender and age.
Compared to people who didn't exercise, those who exercised 1-2 hours a week had the lowest risk of obesity. This means that even such a small load is enough to prevent obesity.
