Scientists warn about the toxicity of freshly caught fish

A study has shown that eating just one freshwater fish per year can be equivalent to drinking water containing “eternal chemicals” for a month.
Researchers from the Environmental Working Group (EWG) analyzed 500 samples of fish fillets caught in local US waters.
The average level of PFAS, or “eternal chemicals,” in freshly caught fish was found to be 280 times higher than in fish from supermarket.
So you would have to buy and eat supermarket fish for an entire year to get the equivalent level of PFAS from just one meal of freshwater fish.
