“Servants” in the Kyiv City Council refused to vote for awarding Zaluzhny and Lina Kostenko the title of honorary citizen of Kyiv

Deputies from the presidential faction “Servant of the People” the Kyiv City Council refused to vote on awarding the title of “Honorary Citizen of Kyiv” to the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny and the poetess Lina Kostenko.

During the vote, the entire faction left the session hall in its entirety.

< p>Dmytro Bilotserkovets, co-head of the UDAR Vitaliy Klitschka faction in the Kyiv City Council, told about this on Boryslava Bereza's YouTube channel.

“12 Kyiv City Council deputies from the Servant of the People party refused to vote. They spoke, said that they would not take part in this, made a demarche and left the hall. It was very strange,” said Dmytro Bilotserkovets.

He assumed that the deputies-“servants” thus carried out orders from the President's Office.

“Mr. Vitrenko (head of the “Servant of the People” faction in the Kyiv City Council) apparently received a call from the President's Office. Either from Yermak, or from Kuleba, and after that they made such a demarche. We all understand that they only fulfill the political will of Bankova, the political will of the Office. I want to remind you that back in 2022, Syrskyi received this status, and then the “servants of the people” voted “for”, – said Bilotserkovets.

People's deputy of the 8th convocation Borislav Bereza also gave an assessment of the act of the “servants”.

“If you've never seen what sleaze and meanness looks like, now you can see it if you look at the voting in the Kyiv City Council. The “servants of the people” are the ones I'm talking about. With the agreement of the President's Office, they showed their loyalty to the authorities and refused to vote for granting the status of honorary citizens of Kyiv to Lina Kostenko and Valery Zaluzhny. Scammers are scavengers. Loyalty to the authorities worries them more than gratitude to those who defended Kyiv and liberated Kyiv Oblast. Thanks to those who glorify Ukraine with their creativity,” Bereza emphasized.

At the meeting, the Kyiv City Council voted to award the title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Kyiv to the former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny and the poetess Lina Kostenko. In this way, the capital expressed its honor and respect to these people, who are real moral authorities for the people of Kyiv and all Ukrainians, emphasized Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
