However, if you are afraid that the wax coating on the grapes can harm your health, or you are worried that there may be pesticides on the skin of the berries, this treatment is not enough.
For your peace of mind, you can immerse the grapes in a soda solution.
Water with the addition of soda can destroy the paraffin coating. Moreover, such a procedure neutralizes pesticides, if any.
For 1 liter of water, you will need 1 tablespoon of baking powder.
20 minutes is enough to soak the grapes, after which the water must be drained, and rinse the bunches under running water.
This method can be used to wash other vegetables and fruits, but it is not suitable for washing berries.
