Shredded cake with cheese and cherries that melts in your mouth

Why not take cherries out of the freezer? Who knows what winter will be like, and many people have already missed the berries. Shredded pie with cheese and cherries is an ideal dessert for those who like a combination of delicate filling and crispy crust.

To prepare a shredded pie, you will need:

  • 200 g of butter< /li>
  • 300 g flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 500 g cheese
  • 300 g cherries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • a pinch of salt

First prepare the dough. Beat butter and sugar until creamy, add egg, flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Knead the dough, divide it into two parts, freeze one of them.

For the filling, mix the cheese with a little sugar (to taste). Cherries can be left whole or slightly chopped.

Roll out the dough, put it in a mold. Put the cheese filling and cherries on top. Rub the frozen part of the dough on top of the filling, distributing it evenly.

Bake the cake at 180°C for about 30-40 minutes until golden brown. After cooling, cut into portions and taste.
