Gynecologist: the connection between smoking and the onset of premature menopause is scientifically proven.
The doctor told in an interview what factors contribute to the fact that menopause begins too early in women. Climax means the fading of reproductive function. “Normally, menstruation stops at the age of 45-55. If menopause occurs at the age of 40-45, it is considered early, before 40 – premature,” the gynecologist noted.
The doctor emphasized that smoking contributes to the early extinction of reproductive function in the female body, its effect on a shorter period of reproductive potential has been scientifically proven. Speaking about other possible causes of early menopause, the doctor highlighted genetic abnormalities, the influence of toxins, autoimmune disorders. It may also matter whether the future woman was born full-term or premature.
“Bisphenol A, which is contained in plastic for food packaging, pesticides can also reduce reproductive functions,” the specialist added.
Speaking of autoimmune disorders, the gynecologist warned about the impact of adrenal insufficiency, type 1 diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis on the onset of early menopause.
